Mats O. Molén

Mats O. Molén is an independent researcher, through Umeå FoU AB in Sweden. He holds two Master's degrees in physical geography and three combined bachelor's degrees in physical geography, biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and Education from York University and Yumev University in Toronto.

Mats O. Molén’ research focused on Glaciation-induced, origin of diamictites, and surface microtextures. He worked full-time as a quarter time Assistant Professor of Meteorology (Physical Geography) at York University, Toronto, Canada from 1991 to 1992.He worked as a student advisor at Lund University, Sweden in 1994 (half semester). He teaches the Fossil course at Umea University, in 1989 and 2003. Since 1995, he built a small museum dedicated to the school, and now it is the second largest fossil exhibition in Sweden. His articles have been published in international journals (e.g. Sedimentology, Geologos, Frontiers in Earth Science, Journal of Palaeogeography). He has published four book reviews in the Bulletin of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
